Marine on St. Croix, MN - St. Paul, MN
30.83 Miles; 5 hours, 5 minutes
On-bike time: 2 hours, 42 minutes
Avg speed: 11.37 mph
Max speed: 28.7 mph
Last night, we tried in vain to upload our web page, but we kept loosing
the connection. The best we could do was to upload the web page and about
half the images.

We got up really early this morning - at around 4:30am! We were on
the road by 6:15. We rode down to Marine on St. Croix, then took Ostrum
Trail Road Nordel Avenue. We entered Washington County, which is the name
of the County we'll live in in Oregon. On Ostrum Trial, we stopped at a
really neat farm that had all sorts of interesting animals like camels,
horses, ducks, goats, swans, and a very sweet dog! Trish had to say hello
to every last one!

We rode on Nordel for a while, until we reached Pine Creek Park, which
at one end of the Gateway trail. Along this stretch of the trail we stopped
to say hello to some beautiful horses. Trish fed them some long grass and
she even got to pet them. We reached North St. Paul at around 9:15am, and
had to hang out there for about 75 minutes, so that we’d arrive at the
end of the Gateway trail at around 12:00pm, when Dave picked us up.

Overall, the trip has been a success. We've shown ourselves that we
could do quite a bit of riding without burning out. We also have a list
of over a dozen things that we need to either bring along or fix for the
actual trip.
