Today was Mechel’s 3rd Birthday. The day started with Bubbie and Zayde giving Mechel a super fancy construction toy – it drives forward and backward, and has a rotating drill and saw. It was pertty tough to get his attention long enough to take the picture:<\/p>\n

While Mechel played, Trish got the house set up for the party. Trish ordered a construction themed birthday kit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mechel’s friends came for the party….<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

…and Mechel offered a toast. L’Chaim!<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

Towards the end up the party, we started Mechel’s Upsherin<\/a>. Mommie and Tattie cut his hair, as did some of the other parents there. We had already taken him to Yeshiva<\/a> in the morning, where Rabbis Braun and Rowoksy cut off some of his hair.<\/p>\n

We took him to Shimon’s to finish off the haircut:<\/p>\n

When we got home, we gave Mechel his 3rd Birthday gift – a bicycle! It’s red, just like Tattie’s.<\/p>\n
