OK, so not quite hors-catégorie, but there certainly was a good bit of climbing involved.  My cyclecomputer showed 29.5 miles at 16.8 MPH average.  Here's the route and profile:

 

Here are the stats for the climbs:

South Mountain: 431 feet over 0.8 miles; 9% grade.
Hook Mountain: 286 feet over 0.9 miles; 5% grade.
Clausland Mountain: 470 feet over 1.5 miles; 6% grade.

What a great way to start the day!

I lost my HRM of 15 years on the Rocket Ride last Sunday, so I'm looking at something like the Garmin Edge 305.  Maybe I'll hold a bake sale.
