Today was Mechel’s 3rd Birthday. The day started with Bubbie and Zayde giving Mechel a super fancy construction toy – it drives forward and backward, and has a rotating drill and saw. It was pertty tough to get his attention long enough to take the picture:
While Mechel played, Trish got the house set up for the party. Trish ordered a construction themed birthday kit.

Towards the end up the party, we started Mechel’s Upsherin. Mommie and Tattie cut his hair, as did some of the other parents there. We had already taken him to Yeshiva in the morning, where Rabbis Braun and Rowoksy cut off some of his hair.
We took him to Shimon’s to finish off the haircut:
When we got home, we gave Mechel his 3rd Birthday gift – a bicycle! It’s red, just like Tattie’s.
